Last Updated: May 15, 2026

My GiveBack Hub ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website, platform, forms, portals, and related services, including any My GiveBack Hub website or application where this Privacy Policy is posted (collectively, the "Platform"). Please read this policy carefully. By using our Platform, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

When you submit a service request, apply as a service provider, or contact us, we collect information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, ZIP code, and any details you include in your service description. Service providers additionally provide business name, business address, service area ZIP codes, license and insurance information, and payment details processed through our third-party payment processor.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your experience and analyze how our platform is used. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the platform may not function properly as a result.

Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third-party services, such as payment processors (Stripe), email service providers, and background screening services used to verify service provider credentials. We only collect third-party information to the extent necessary to operate our platform and deliver our services.

Sensitive, Verification, and Uploaded Information

Consumers should not submit sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the requested service.

Service Providers may be asked to provide verification-related information, including business name, business address, contact information, license information, insurance documentation, business credentials, background screening status, service area information, tax or payment-related information, and related business records.

If users upload photos, documents, receipts, certificates, invoices, licenses, insurance documents, proof of contribution, or other files, we collect and use those materials only as needed to operate the Platform, verify Service Providers, process service requests, confirm contribution activity, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain business records, and comply with applicable law.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information from Consumers unless it is necessary to process a specific service request, verify identity, prevent fraud, comply with law, or support Platform safety.

2. How We Use Your Information

To Operate the Platform

We use the information we collect to process service requests, match consumers with service providers, manage service provider applications and accounts, process subscription payments, send service-related communications (including job status updates, confirmations, and review requests), and facilitate charity attribution and giveback contributions.

To Communicate with You

With your consent, we may send you email and SMS notifications related to your service request or account, including status updates, service provider match notifications, and job completion confirmations. You may withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly. Transactional messages related to active service requests may not be opted out of while a request is pending.

To Improve Our Services

We use aggregated and anonymized data to analyze platform performance, understand how users interact with our services, identify areas for improvement, and develop new features. This data does not identify you personally.

To Ensure Trust and Safety

We use your information to verify service provider credentials, monitor for fraudulent or abusive activity, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

To Support Charity Attribution and Giveback Confirmation

We may use information related to service requests, completed jobs, selected charities, Service Provider accounts, reported contribution amounts, and contribution confirmation status to support charity attribution, impact reporting, dispute resolution, and Platform accountability.

Communications and SMS

By providing a phone number, users consent to receive service-related calls and text messages from My GiveBack Hub and matched Service Providers regarding the user's request, account, service status, estimates, scheduling, job completion, contribution confirmation, and related Platform activity.

Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not required to use the Platform or purchase services. Users may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP or by contacting us through any reasonable method that clearly communicates the request to stop receiving text messages.

We may still send non-marketing communications that are necessary for account administration, legal notices, transaction confirmations, security alerts, or service-related updates.

To Use Automated Tools and Artificial Intelligence

We may use automated tools, including artificial intelligence-assisted tools, to help route service requests, match Consumers with Service Providers, detect fraud, summarize request details, support customer service, review Platform activity, improve user experience, and analyze Platform performance.

We do not use Consumer service request information, uploaded documents, or Service Provider verification documents to train public artificial intelligence models.

3. How We Share Your Information

With Service Providers

When you submit a service request and are matched with a service provider, we share your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, and service description with that service provider for the purpose of fulfilling your request. We only share your information with service providers who have been vetted and approved through our application process.

Limits on Service Provider Use of Consumer Information

Service Providers may use Consumer information only to respond to and fulfill the specific service request, provide estimates, schedule appointments, perform agreed services, communicate about the job, process payments, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.

Service Providers may not sell Consumer information, share it with unrelated third parties, or use it for unrelated marketing without the Consumer's separate consent.

Service Providers are responsible for protecting Consumer information they receive through the Platform and for complying with all applicable privacy, data security, telemarketing, texting, email marketing, and consumer communication laws.

With Charitable Organizations

When a job is completed and a Giveback Contribution is reported or confirmed, we may share limited attribution information with the designated charitable organization as needed to confirm, attribute, and report contribution activity.

This may include the Consumer's first name, city, general service category, selected charity, job completion status, and reported contribution amount.

We do not share a Consumer's full contact information with charitable organizations without the Consumer's explicit consent, unless disclosure is required by law.

With Service Vendors

We work with trusted third-party vendors to operate our platform, including payment processors (Stripe), email delivery services (Resend), hosting providers (Vercel), and database providers (Supabase). These vendors are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it to perform services on our behalf.

Payment Processing

Payments, subscriptions, billing, and related financial transactions may be processed by third-party payment processors, including Stripe.

We do not store full credit card numbers or full payment card details on our own systems. Payment information submitted through the Platform is handled by the applicable payment processor, and that processor's use of payment information is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements; to protect the rights, property, or safety of My GiveBack Hub, our users, or the public; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify affected users.

We Do Not Sell Your Data

My GiveBack Hub does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Types of Cookies We Use

We use essential cookies necessary for the platform to function (such as session and authentication cookies), analytical cookies to understand usage patterns, and preference cookies to remember your settings. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Your Choices

You can control cookie settings through your browser. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable cookies, some parts of our platform may not work correctly, including the ability to stay logged in to a service provider or charitable organization account.

5. Data Retention

How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Service request records are retained for a minimum of three (3) years to support charity attribution records and dispute resolution. Provider account information is retained for the duration of the account and for three (3) years following account closure. You may request deletion of your personal information subject to the exceptions described in Section 6.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Access and Correction

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections if any information is inaccurate or incomplete. Service providers can update much of their information directly through the Service Provider Portal.

Deletion

You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below. We will honor deletion requests to the extent permitted by law. Certain information may be retained as required by legal obligation, to complete an active transaction, or to resolve outstanding disputes.

Communication Preferences

You may opt out of non-essential email communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send or by contacting us directly.

To opt out of SMS messages, you may reply STOP or contact us through any reasonable method that clearly communicates your request to stop receiving text messages. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive marketing text messages is not required to use the Platform or purchase services.

We may still send non-marketing communications that are necessary for account administration, legal notices, transaction confirmations, security alerts, service request updates, provider match notifications, contribution confirmation, or other Platform-related activity.

California Residents

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under California privacy laws if those laws apply to us.

These rights may include the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or share, the right to access personal information, the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information, the right to request deletion of personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, the right to limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising applicable privacy rights.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising unless expressly stated in this Privacy Policy.

Users may submit privacy requests by contacting us at:

privacy@mygivebackhub.org

We may need to verify the identity of the person making the request before responding. We will respond to verified privacy requests as required by applicable law.

7. Data Security

How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. This includes encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls limiting who can view sensitive data, and regular security reviews. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Data Breach Notice

If we determine that a security breach has occurred involving personal information, we will provide notices as required by applicable law.

We may notify affected users by email, written notice, Platform notice, or another legally permitted method, depending on the circumstances and applicable legal requirements.

8. Children's Privacy

My GiveBack Hub is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

9. Third-Party Links

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services, including charitable organization websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Controls

Some browsers or devices may allow users to send "Do Not Track" signals or similar privacy preference signals.

Because there is not yet a uniform industry standard for responding to all Do Not Track signals, we may not respond to every such signal.

If applicable privacy law requires us to recognize certain browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control signals, we will honor those signals as required by law.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our business, technology, legal obligations, or Platform features. When we make material changes, we may provide notice by updating the effective date, posting a notice on the Platform, sending you an email notification, or using another reasonable method. Your continued use of the Platform after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

12. Contact Us

If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at:

My GiveBack Hub Email: privacy@mygivebackhub.org

We will respond to all legitimate requests within 30 days.
